AW19 Development Trip

As you may have seen on social media this week, we’ve spent the last few days in Prato, Italy with 2 of our key suppliers, putting the final touches to AW19.This is always a nerve-racking part of the journey, double checking that you have the right colours, textures and shapes that you hope your customers will fall in love with.

The Starting Point

This season is awash with colour, Violet, Amber, Chocolate, Green and of course the inevitable Black as worn by myself and the very lovely Cinzia.

All about Print, Texture and Shape

Here we’re loving the shapes but looking for a print, have we got the balance of texture right for knitwear and finally loving the new knitted coat with Erica.

When In Prato...

…you have to enjoy the wonderful architecture of the city including its Town Hall, you start the day Italian style in Pino's, our favourite coffee shop. And finally, Italy wouldn’t be Italy without enjoying its fabulous pizza and delicious pasta.

It was a hectic 48 hours but so worthwhile to go and meet our factory owners face to face, discuss the collection and listen to their insights. This really is a partnership, we couldn’t do it without them and of course our wonderful Customers.

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend,

    • Hello Diane, thank you so much for commenting on the blog. I am indeed passionate about what we do here at Hope and if I've managed to convey one iota of that in this blog I am delighted. I love your description 'women of wisdom', I recently hosted a dinner for customers and friends of the brand and we called it our 'wise women dinner'. Great minds think alike! Nayna X
