Behind the Scenes at Hope's Spring Summer 2017 Photo Shoot
Shooting a spring collection in January on location in the UK is always a risk and on Monday afternoon we were feeling very nervous as we said goodbye to yet another rainy day. Fortunately on Tuesday we woke to a cold and crisp morning, which came with a beautiful mist across the valley, suggesting the sun might come out to play. Luckily for us, it did!
Once again, we decided to shoot our new collection here at the Home of Hope, which includes Winston, our black labrador, who was constantly trying to sneak on set. The sun began to stream through the windows around mid-morning, which along with the palm leaves and foliage, you could almost believe you were somewhere hot and sunny, rather than deepest Oxfordshire.
Our models were a wonderful mix of customers and friends, who seemed to revel in the experience, passing through hair and makeup on their way to the set.
Last but not least on set were the incredible Golden Girls, aka my mum, Meikle Hope and mother-in-law, Pauline, who, as always, did an amazing job keeping the team fed and watered for the day. They even managed to squeeze in some time to model their favourite silk shirts. As you can see, once again, Winston managed to get in on the act!
The day ended with a beautiful sunset, a glass of fizz and a round of applause. A huge thank you to everyone involved for a wonderful shoot, particularly our models, who gave the whole thing such energy and a great vibe. I'm looking forward to sharing the new collection with you very soon. In the meantime, these behind the scenes images from the shoot will give you a flavour of what's to come.
